SOUNDNET: Instant Sound Playback and Management Software

SOUNDNET is an application designed for instant sound playback, creating hotkeys (binds), and real-time sound management. It allows users to add any audio files, instantly trigger them during games, streaming sessions, or voice communication, and automatically manage the microphone while sound is playing.

How It Works

  • Adding Sounds: Users add audio files through the application interface.
  • Assigning Hotkeys: Each sound can be assigned a hotkey (bind) for quick playback.
  • Automatic Mic Management: While a sound is playing, the program can temporarily mute the microphone (if the option is enabled) to prevent sound overlap.
  • Mic Reactivation: After the sound is finished, the microphone is automatically re-enabled.
  • Sound Output: Sounds can be output through standard speakers/headphones or through a virtual audio channel (e.g., for Discord, OBS, Teamspeak).

Required Audio Setup

For the program to work correctly and with high quality, especially when transmitting sound through Discord, OBS, or other voice applications, it is necessary to install VB-Cable (a virtual audio driver).

Download VB-Cable:

https://vb-audio.com/Cable/

  • After installation:

    1. Select "VB-Cable Input/Output" as the main audio output device in the SOUNDNET application.
    2. In voice applications (Discord, OBS, etc.), set "VB-Cable" as your microphone or sound source.
Note: Recommended settings (likely detailed in the application or manual) will ensure the best performance.
